THDP-AU1200-II is a successor of
THDP-AU1200-I with many new features. It is specially
suitable for applications such as high-end multimedia
interactive device, multimedia advertisement terminal,
digital satellite receiver, digital set-top box,
multimedia student terminal, multimedia auto
entertainment system, Personal Media Player (PMP) and so
on.
THDP-AU1200-II is based on AMD’s Alchemy
Au1200 MIPS SOC. The Au1200 processor supports common
digital video media, including MPEG 1, 2 and 4; DivX 3,
4 and 5, and WMV9, and delivers full D1 resolution
without the need to transcode content between PC or PVR
and the PMP. This reduces the time required to download
fresh content and helps enable consumers to take media
“on the go” faster and easier.
Especially, Au1200 is suitable for high-resolution
applications such as 1024x768 or higher. Its on-chip LCD
controller supports at most 2048x2048 display
resolution, while its on-chip Media Acceleration Engine
(MAE) supports at most 1024x1024 video auto scaling.
This development board kit is
designed around the Au1200 processor and also includes
DDR and Flash memory devices, all other associated
semiconductors, and connectivity support for all
peripheral devices.
THDP-AU1200-II is
composed of a core board and main board. The two borads
are connected via a high-speed 200-pin connector.
Developers could reuse our core board and customize a
new main board for their applications, which greatly
reduce product prototype time.
THDP-AU1200-II is an all-inclusive
development platform, its available peripherals include:
USB Host, USB OTG (could be configured as a USB Host or
USB Device), AC’97 (including Headphone-Out,
Microphone-In, Line-In and 2.5 audio amplifier
Speaker-Out), RS-232 serial, full-function modem, IDE,
CF, PCMCIA, SD, 10/100M Ethernet, LCD, VGA, TV-OUT
(S-Video and Video Composite), Camera, IrDA Receiver,
Keypad, 4-wire/5-wire Compatible Touch Screen. |
